The comprehensive planning process is wrapping up, and the draft plan will be released to the public for review in the next few weeks. The plan has received input in multiple ways, from online surveys to 21 public open houses, meetings, and presentations to stakeholder groups in the county. In total, more than 850 people participated and provided input.

The information that was gathered was reviewed and vetted through a Steering Committee that was made up of 35 members, including representatives from Baptist Health Hardin, Fort Knox, ECTC, Lincoln Trail Health Department, the City of Elizabethtown, Hardin County Water District #2, Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, and the Lincoln Trail Homebuilder’s Association.
